Goodbye First Grade

Ben's last day was yesterday--I snuck in to sirprise him and get a picture with his beloved teacher Mrs. Zimmerman.

Well, I decided to celebrate Sophie's birthday at the end of the school year so that she could invite friends that would either be moved or on vacation in July. We had a brownie cake and ice cream sundaes and lots of crafts. After all her guests had left, I asked, "So Sophia, what did you think of your party?" "It was a SMASHING SUCCESS!" I love my girl.

Lil' Graduate

Sophia's Pre-K class actually had a graduation on Friday---it was a first for me, but she was excited to wear the cap & gown. We have ten school days left and I cannot wait!! The second picture was taken last weekend when Sophia got alot of her stuffed animals dressed up and then read to them. Priceless. :)

Last Weekend vs This Weekend

The first picture was taken in the backyard last weekend- we were out throwing the ball around in the late afternoon sun. Fast forward exactly week, and you will see the kids after Winter Storm Q. And then there is the video. Hard to believe that a foot of snow can be almost "unsleddable" (unless you have an inner tube!), but the kids sure gave it their best effort! My favorite parts are when big brother hustles up the hill to give sister a push (more like a kick, but hey;) and when Sophia shouts " What's the matter with this baby??!" only to have the sled launch down the hill without her. (It seems the video did not come through- so sorry)
